NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Redlands encourages residents to apply for a position on the following commission:

                                                                  
RECREATION ADVISORY COMMISSION - The Recreation Advisory Commission assists and advises the recreation program staff, keeps the general public informed about the City's  recreational programs, serves as a vehicle for the promotion of activities of the recreation program and the Community Center, and serves as a clearinghouse for citizens' suggestions, reactions, opinions, interests and needs.   The Recreation Commission meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m.

Residents interested in applying for the non-salaried position on this commission may request application forms from the City Manager's Office, Civic Center, 35 Cajon Street, Suite 200,  by phone at 798-7510 or on the City's website at www.ci.redlands.ca.us      

Deadline for filing applications is Friday, January 18, 2008.

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Redlands encourages residents to apply for a position on the following commission:

TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION

 The Traffic and Parking Commission carries on educational activities in traffic matters, supervises the preparation and publication of traffic reports, receives complaints relating to traffic matters, and recommends to the City Council ways and means of improving traffic conditions and the administration and enforcement of traffic regulations. This commission also advises the City Council on the development of adequate parking for commercial and retail uses, recommend policies to encourage, develop and support adequate parking within the City, recommend actions for the establishment of long-term parking plans for the City and, in particular, the Downtown Redlands Business Area, and advises the City Council in the administration of resources for the development of parking. The Commission may also assist other advisory groups such as the Planning Commission in matters relating to parking.

The Traffic and Parking Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
