LADDER TRUCK MATCHING FUND
Donations are Being Accepted!
The Redlands Fire Department applied for the FEMA 2010 Assistance to Firefighters Grant and was very fortunate to have received one of the three largest grants awarded. The great news is the Federal funds will pay for $636,000.00 of the cost for a new ladder truck. The remaining 20% matching funds of $159,000.00 is the responsibility of the City of Redlands. In normal times we would be able to absorb this cost into our budget. So to limit the impact on other City operations, Fire Chief Jeff Frazier is working with a group of community volunteers who partnering with RFD will raise the funds necessary to meet our goal!
If you would like to be part of the effort to buy only the 5 th ladder truck to serve Redlands in our 123 year history, please the Redlands Ladder Truck website or send your tax deductible donation made out to Redlands Community Foundation with a note indicating it is for the Redlands Fire Ladder Truck to:
