Important Legislation
Proposition 83, "Jessica's Law," and Redlands
Proposition 83, commonly referred to as "Jessica's Law," is on the November 7, 2006, ballot. This ballot measure proposes to restrict where sex registrants may live to beyond 2000 feet from schools, parks, and other places that may be designated by the local government. The proposition also requires that many sex registrants be tracked with Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. As with all ballot measures, it is important to know what they mean and consider how they may impact our community. Please see the following information and map of the 2000 foot zones around schools, parks and daycare centers when considering Proposition 83.
