To affect positive changes in Redlands neighborhoods that are currently, or at risk of, experiencing blight or poor environmental conditions that adversely affect our community's quality of life.

Redlands' ability to maintain the quality of its neighborhoods is directly related to the degree to which its public agencies work together in collaborative approaches solving problems affecting its residents. There are simply too many dynamics affecting the changes in our community to view them as the responsibility of any one City department or public agency. The most effective way to address blight, crime issues, municipal code violations and other community concerns is through a multi-disciplinary approach which brings all pertinent service providers together under one, integrated holistic approach.

Representatives from the Police, Fire, Planning, Community Services Department, Code Enforcement Officers, Building and Safety Inspectors, City Attorney, Housing/CDBG Specialists, Public Works and the Police Department Crime Analyst meet monthly to identify problems throughout Redlands.

The Redlands' Neighborhood Improvement Team is yet another example of how the City strives to serve its citizens and maintain Redlands' beauty, sense of community and overall quality of life.
