Recreation Advisory Commission
The Redlands Recreation Advisory Commission is composed of 8 residents and
1 student liaison; appointed to advise the City’s Recreation Department staff and
the Council on the development and operation of recreation programs.
The Commission studies and advises the Recreation Bureau on issues related to
recreation by hearing presentations from private individuals, special interest
groups and staff members. The Commission is expected to:
- Provide leadership in developing a comprehensive recreational program
for city residents of all ages.
- Be familiar with the types of recreation programs and parks that residents
need and want.
- Advise the Community Services Superintendent as requested, on
department administration.
Monthly meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at
the City of Redlands Council Chambers. To be placed on the commission's
agenda, contact the Community Services Superintendent, Denny Sattler, no later
than 4:00 p.m. 2 weeks preceding the regular meeting. He can be reached at
798-7572 ext 8.
