City provides sandbags and sand to residents during storm

1/19/2010 - City provides sandbags and sand to residents during storm

As winter storms remain in the forecast for the region through the end of the week, the City will have emergency sandbags available for Redlands residents or local businesses which are being flooded or in imminent danger of flooding.

The Redlands Fire Department and Quality of Life Department will distribute up to 15 empty sandbags per household or business. Bags are available at Redlands Fire Station 264, 1270 W. Park Ave. Fill sand will be available in the vacant lot across the street from the station.

Residents must provide identification and business owners or managers must provide information indicating their business is located within the City’s jurisdiction.

The Redlands Fire Department will respond to emergency situations involving floods or any threat to life. In case of an emergency, call 911.
