Man held up outside adult bookstore


6/29/2009 - Man held up outside adult bookstore


Redlands Police are investigating a reported armed robbery that began at an adult bookstore around midnight Sunday.

The victim, a 49-year-old Redlands man, told police he left the Adult Book Store in the 700 block of Tennessee Street, at about midnight Sunday, June 28, with the suspect when he said the man pointed a gun at him and ordered him into his vehicle, described only as a small, blue four-door car.

The robber reportedly drove the victim to Jennie Davis Park, at the intersection of Redlands Boulevard and New York Street, where he ordered the victim to give him money.

The robber then drove the victim back to the store and drove away. The robber is described only as a black man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a stocky build and short hair.
